Role Purpose:

Ultimately responsible for the successful IT delivery of development projects (from Feasibility to Closing) as per the most recent IT delivery methodology.

Responsibilites:

Managing IT/TD scope of projects from feasibility until closure as per the most recent demand and delivery processes and by applying valid project management methodology
Supports the evolution and simplification of the VFH application portfolio in line with the guidelines of the architecture function
Responsible for aligning the group IT strategy with the relevant business goals of the local market
Working with local market to drive a consistent approach to IT delivery
Monitoring the ongoing IT delivery of the project across your local market through identifying current state of the process, any objectives still to be achieved and comparing the current performance to the predefined baseline
Manages delivery of projects in line with most recent IT Delivery methodology
Responsible for meeting the agreed project milestones, quality criteria and budget constraints.
Responsible for the identification and mitigation of the risks and issues associated with the managed projects
Responsible for the identification of the IT resources that are needed for the delivery of the projects
Responsible for delivering regular, standardized project status
Responsible for the controlling of the quantitative and qualitative aspects of the services delivered by the vendors participating in the projects
Manages IT projects/programmes initiated by Vodafone Group at Vodafone Hungary
Supports demand phase by providing project management related activities (resource planning, scheduling, risk management)
Applies a consistent methodological approach during delivery and proposes enhancements if needed
Actively cooperates with his/hers contacts both within the company (local, regional, global) as well as the ones located at vendor.
Responsible for the up-to-date control and recordkeeping of the approved project budgets
Actively drives continuous optimization of related costs

Requirements:

IT, Economics or Telco specific university degree
At least 2 years project management experience preferably in the telco sector
3+ years recent experience in telecommunications in a technical role
Abilities to deal within a multicultural environment
Strong presentation, communication skills and decision making skills with the ability to balance conflicting needs
Strong operational understanding of information technology
Technology transformational change experience in large multi-cultural / multi location organisations
